Back of the Net

Heads up for a forthcoming comedy film about a subbuteo club trying to make it into a big time table soccer league.

Entitled “Back of the Net” by 2wardfruition it was filmed in Porthcawl South Wales last week and featured 3 of our Prima Pitches.

If you look closely at the film you will notice Dave Samuel Gary Thomas and Steve Evans (Jester) on pitch 3.

The dozen or so cast are well known in South Wales most of them having featured in TV series such as “Satelite City and High Hopes” . Owen Money is a Radio Presenter with the BBC

I’ve downloaded a few photos that we took on the day.

All being well we are hoping they will premiere the film at the Welsh Open 25^th February that we are playing in the Futsal in Lllanishen. If that happens we could well do with some support for this event.

We're getting two weeks off because we've been busy helping Santa make toys like the little elves we are.
Strange how Santa likes rich kids more than poor kids.

We're back home after a long away day at Leicester.  Come join us this Saturday for a good day of flicking.
And if you ever see a pack of mints on the dashboard of someones car, make sure they aren't nicotine mints else you'll get the shock of your life.  You have been told Lewis.

We're off to Leicester next Saturday but the league continues on the 14th.

What Wedding?

Apparently there's a wedding on today but for those of you looking for something to do tomorrow, we're gonna play Subbuteo at the clubhouse.

For those of you not yet on the mailshot (why not?) we're meeting this Saturday at Cambrian Football for week three of the league but there's still loads of other games going on if you just want a friendly flick about.
Entry is free as are the spare teams.

Sorry for not posting the date for last weekends meeting but most of us at the club have been busy and it just slipped our minds.
For any of you who haven't checked out our new venue yet, what are you waiting for?  The cooked breakfasts are great on cold winter mornings.

We are also building a following of young player from Cambrian football club, they've been turning up each week we've been there and if any of you have a spare set of players, goalies or balls you could donate we would really appreciate it.

Fate has conspired against us and the planned meeting for the 8th of January has been changed, as has the venue.
